Story

Red Rocky:   A funky guitar,  bass and drum trio characterize this tall tale of a Texas gunfighter in the old west.  Or is it an analogy for today's big city gang violence? Red Rocky is our villain.

"From Abilene through to New Orleans he was wanted for shooting McGraw, when he killed a young lady by the name of little Katie, you know he just ain't right there". Our hero  "Bill 'Boy' Brown , the kid with the frown, tracked old Red Rocky down, he had a white hot feeling as saw that he was nearing as he rode on into town" … for the big showdown.

Turn round said Rocky when he heard it hot and chalky, the voice he'd heard once before, 'Well you killed my little lover but you'll never kill another, pull your gun and we'll have out here', So he drew real fast, shot the boy, the silence vast, he crippled to the ground, life was tore; as he looked down at his chest he saw the hole in his vest, Rocky knew he'd never shoot no more."   The chaos of the gun battle is represented in the dueling guitar and bass solos of this track.

Lyrics

Track 3:  Red Rocky

He was a Texas straight shooter and he hung with the looters,

tryin' 'a keep clear the arm of the law.

With cool, cool head and the top dog dead,

 he rose to the top of the squah.

From Abilene through to New Orleans he was wanted for shootin’ Mcgraw;

 but when you kill a young lady by the name of Lil’ Katie

 you know he just ain’t right there.

 Now Bill “Boy” Brown, the kid with a frown tracked ol’ Red Rocky down.

He got a white hot feelin’ and he knew that he was nearin’ as he rode on into town.

Turned ‘round did Rocky when he heard it hot and chalky,

the voice he’d heard once before.

“Well you killed my little lover, but you’ll never kill another,

pull your gun and we’ll have it out here.”

So he drew real fast shot the boy the silence vast,

Billy crippled to the ground life was tore;

but when he looked down at his chest he saw the hole in his vest,

Rocky knew he’d never shoot no more.
