Story

Write My Way;

Driving Guitar ballad of a lone journey in stormy weather where "the road at my back calls me home".  “Now I Write My Way,  I’ll show you my perfect day, no time for goodbyes, I’m right on time for that sunrise”.  The beginning of the storm "The leaves turn their backs on the sun, the wind barrels down on its run, a more seasoned eye could tell me where the storm and why"  "Drenched in soaked electric fire… duck down low, close to the ground, raincoat patter only sound."  A metaphor for a man cut loose, adrift in the storm in chaos looking for new, stable ground.  "Put aside your foolish pride, take me under the stormy town at your side."  Funky bass and horn section lead the outro.

Lyrics

Track 9:  Write My Way

Now I write my way

I’ll show you my perfect day

No time for goodbyes

I’m right on time for that sunrise

The leaves turn their backs on the sun

The wind barrels down on its run

A more seasoned eye

Could tell me where the storm and why

Drenched and soaked, electric fire

Purge the sky, copper wire

Duck down low, close to the ground

Raincoat patter, only sound

I can see on for miles

Canyon’s tempting and secret smiles

Now I am alone

The road at my back calls me home

Drenched and soaked, electric fire

Purge the sky, copper wire

Duck down low, close to the ground

Raincoat patter, only sound

Put aside your selfish pride

Take me on just throw me down at your side.
